American Youth Association
A 501c(3) Florida-based, student-founded, National organization.
By making civic participation engaging we aim to produce an educated electorate. By building skills through community-based events as well as state and national assemblies AYA will provide a platform to those interested in giving back to their communities.
We will produce future leaders, at every level of government and public service.
- We are the American Youth Association,
Inform | Educate | Empower
-
The American Youth Association is deeply committed to the belief that knowledge is the catalyst for positive change within our communities. Our organization actively hosts a series of informative events nationwide throughout the year, focusing on education, elections, and local issues relevant to our county branches. These events provide a platform for individuals from diverse backgrounds to enhance their understanding of critical topics affecting their lives. Featuring expert speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and presentations, our events encourage dialogue, critical thinking, and actionable outcomes. During election season, our county branches facilitate discussions with local candidates, elected officials, and community members, mobilizing and informing young people and community members to be engaged voters. We firmly hold that an informed and engaged community is the foundation of a prosperous nation, and together, we strive to learn, inspire, and act for a better future for ourselves and generations to come.
-
The American Youth Association, Its State Chapters, and County Branches will work to keep their members, social media followers, and community informed on important issues and Updates.
We will use a 3 pronged approach:
Through personal research, our members will gain comprehensive knowledge on local government structures, roles, and elected officials, empowering active participation in the democratic process.
As our organization grows we will begin establishing clubs on school campuses where educators can offer extended lessons on government at various levels, fostering an informed youth and expanding educational horizons.
Peer Presentations: Once members are comfortable with their local governments structures, elected officials, and roles - they can begin presenting to other clubs after school and host community events on these topics to increase the reach of young people and community members who are then informed, registered, and engaged in the civic process.
-
Through a strong awareness and in depth education of the civic process members will be well versed to participate in the democratic process.
Voter registration, education, and transportation are among the key priorities of the American Youth Association.
The American Youth Association empowers youth through local initiatives, promoting community involvement and essential civic participation, particularly through voting and voter registration.
We won't stop at voter registration. Through skill development in engaging competitions such as Speech and Debate, Journalism, Photography, Prepared Presentation, and more, our members will be well-equipped to assist their communities, prepare for higher education, or secure a job/internship with government leaders. Every day AYA will work to
Inform | Educate | and Empower its members.
